Caring, confidential counselling in the heart of the Yarra Valley.
What is Counselling?
Counselling is about helping people explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours to improve their overall wellbeing. Together, we’ll look at what you want to change, improve or achieve in your life and I’ll work with you to identify solutions to your unique situation. This process may include learning from your past, utilising your strengths, and developing new skills and tools in order to reach your goals.
If you want to see positive change in your life, please get in touch.

Meet the Counsellor
Patricia Griffin
Hi and welcome!
I’m a long-time resident of Yarra Glen and live on a bit of acreage surrounded by my veggie garden, chooks and stunning views of the Yarra Valley.
After years in business administration I decided I needed a change and as I watched the people around me struggling in their everyday lives, I realised I wanted to pursue a helping profession and facilitate positive change for individuals and families. I believe everyone has the potential to overcome challenges and reach their goals and as a counsellor I want to see people become their best selves, enjoy healthy relationships and live happy and fulfilling lives.
I offer a compassionate, person-centred, collaborative style of counselling where I work with my clients to develop opportunities for self-reflection, the building of strengths and to find strategies for change and growth. I draw on a wide range of therapies and therapeutic tools with the aim of addressing each individual’s unique situation. Some of my favourites are CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-focussed Therapy and Systems Theory.
Give me a call. I look forward to working with you.
Piper
Piper is a Schnoodle and is just like a walking teddy bear. She loves a cuddle on the couch and a tummy rub and is very friendly and easy-going.
Piper is a calming influence in sessions, she offers comfort and affection, helps to reduce stress and anxiety and can help us reflect on our emotional responses.
If you’d like to have Piper join us in session, let me know when you book in.
Kind words from my clients
“Patricia is a remarkable counsellor, one who has the best interests of her clients at heart. Seamlessly, she blends the skill and techniques of her craft with a down-to-earth, transparent, empathic and caring nature.
Over many years of periodic self-development and seeking support, Patricia is the first person I have encountered who not only truly listens but hears, not only guides but provides a map and tools consistent with the nature of the journey, not only has the courage to share her humaness but does so with humour and warmth.
Her sharp intellect and keen sense of perception make her a joy to work with, even when touching on painful topics. Always at the client's pace, always with respect and a desire to genuinely help a fellow human being. I highly recommend Patricia as a Counsellor who not only 'walks the talk' but who does so with patience, love and kindness.”
- Sara S
“Words cannot express my gratitude for your time, effort and support. Without your guidance I feel I would have lost all connection with my son. Your compassion, empathy and expertise have got me through times I felt so desperate. I am grateful for all you have done for me.”
